Thank you for providing the complete instructions for the fix! I found several other instructions, but they were only 1 or 2 of the steps you provided, not all of the steps you provided. Because of the prior searches, I actually had all steps complete except for the enable battery selections at the very end. Upon doing the enable for both items, the battery percentage icon reappeared. Not sure why it ever went away. Thank you!
