We explore exoplanets and how they are found. I then discuss Keplar-452b, an exoplanet that sits in the habitable zone of its solar system. This planet could potentially have water on it and therefore, life.

Thank you for this. Very educational for someone who aspires to be an astronomer.

Thanks very much for this, and please more of the kind! Just one tiny bit of correction: The planet's name is spelt "Kepler", not "Keplar". It is named after the Kepler space telescope which in turn was named after famous German astronomer Johannes Kepler.

Great video. Thankyou! I know it's just a little naive of me BUT I actually thought the James Webb telescope was going to be soooo good it might be able to see one of those planets directly! I kid you not! Cya! 🇦🇺🥴

Apparently even though we have discovered the presence of hundreds of exoplanets we still haven't found one which experiences the same conditions as Earth! So my answer about Kepler exo is a Nope! I think we are far more unique than some scientists predicted! Cya! 🇦🇺

Every time I watch a video like this, I can't help but think about how ignorant we are as a species.. We are the only "intelligent" life in the galaxy, yet we're always on the brink of destroying ourselves.. Just can't get my mind around the whole thing 🤦‍♂️

I wish to know first how clear the scientist are to claim it should be "earth" like planet. Like I would just like simply to have all the details. Not "theories" or "expectations" I would just like to have a hard proof of "it" to be earth like.
