can someone tell me how to find a local nail tech that isn't a chain nail shop? Every time I go into one I end up with cut up cuticles from the nail drill and this last time I have a rash around a nail. I got treatment right off. But I want to stop going to those placing and can't locate a trained nail tech

I've found that glitter between the gel layers makes it lift and chip fairly easily, which isn't something I want happening since the gel is supposed to last for up to 2 weeks. Have you found anything similar or have any tips/recommendations for prevention?

Word of mouth or google is your best bet- what about local hair salons? They may be of use. Colleges that offer beauty courses may also be good- you'll probably get it cheaper, as it'll be done by someone training :)
