🚨 Don't Touch That! The Shocking Truth About Asbestos! 🏚️

In Asbestos Awareness Week I want to remind every one of you that if you are thinking of touching asbestos or even if you're doing DIY in older property get it checked before you start. The risks are too great. Oh and by the way we are still importing asbestos in sheeting from China. It's not tested on the way in. Shame on that!

And of course asbestos exists in many other forms as well. So it is in our environment and the problem has not gone away which brings me back to the political problem. I've worked long and hard to try and get the politicians to take it more seriously. Nobody wants to talk about it. They want to sweep it under the carpet and hope it goes away. They've been saying for years that the problem is past. Unfortunately the record of deaths goes against that. And at the moment more people are dying than previously. This is unacceptable politically economically and socially. But hey what do you expect when you have the clown show that we have in Canberra

Son is a tradie...I worry he will accidentally come across it and not know. Personally I'd be ok with banning untested building materials.

cost me $80, 000 to have my investment property demolished after it caught fire - tenant was welding. Turns out my building/landlords insurance policy does not cover a fire when you have an asbestos roof !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Deemed a contaminate once fire damaged - there is more profits coming from this than there ever was when they used this stuff to build 80% of homes.
This major detail was never mentioned at the time of taking out the policy and was only found by myself on page 28 of their T&C's.
They were quite happy to take my money for 14 years and never made one claim.

Wow. My council had the house tested 5 times and took samples for the lab and have done on all of their properties. The private sector needs to catch up.
