That is exactly what the Board member should have done. If you did not have the proper insurance any injury etc. would legally fall on the HOA's master policy which would in turn increase the HOA dues for all homeowners hired an uninsured contractor.

Back around high school, this is basically how I went from “mowing lawns in the neighborhood” to “maintaining the upkeep of yards” for a local realtor, for $20 bucks an hour. For a kid in the 90’s, it was great money, I got some friends to help out, and my family helped me register an LLC. It was AMAZING and a great stroke of luck,

I have LITERALLY NEVER heard a good story, a good thing about an HOA. it's always horror stories and they sound like a nightmare to deal with. I would do anything even in a zombie apocalypse if it were a stronghold to AVOID an HOA.
