Reba McEntire Comedy 'Happy's Place' Ordered Up to Series on NBC | THR News

NBC has handed out a series order to the multicamera comedy 'Happy's Place,' starring Reba McEntire. 'Happy's Place' sees McEntire play Bobbie, a woman who inherits her father's restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had. The series reunites McEntire with the team behind her 2001 sitcom, 'Reba,' including showrunner Kevin Abbott, and co-star Melissa Peterman.

Been a Reba fan for years. Watched her first series back then, then again recently. The second time was different for me. I still loved Reba, Kyra and Jake but couldn't stand Brock, Cheyenne, Van and Barbara Jean. Never knew about Malibu Country until a friend told me. Did not care for it. Felt it was a reboot of her first show. Loved Reba, Lily and the daughter. The son and neighbor were rebooted versions of Van and Barbara Jean. I hope this series is better. Also, loved The Hammer. Sorry it never went to series.
