I want to say thank you. I had two 5 week old kittens that hadn't pooped in 5-6 days respectively, this method likely saved them (and us a very expensive vet visit)! I tried this method 20-30 minutes after their meal, paired with a gentle massage of the back end with a cloth towel dipped in hot (not scalding hot but like safe hot) water, got them to poop within 10-20 minutes. They may squirm and cry but for anyone that might run across this comment with a constipated kitten, please don't give up, this works!!

Thank you so so much. I just rescued a kitten (looks about 2-3 months old) last week. In all 30 cats we have this is the first case of a constipation. He pooped just tiny stools and they are really solid. We went to the vet and the doctor prescribed some kind of enema which helps a bit but he still only pooped tiny solid stools. We scheduled a surgery for him tomorrow but he already look a bit weak so I search for anything that can help NOW. Stumbled across this video and it worked though not instanly, he pooped a bit after each massage session and now his stool are getting softer.

Also extra comment, to all you people criticizing her for not using gloves and doing it in the kitchen sink, f-ck all of you. We civilized folks have these things called soaps and disinfectants, maybe try that for once in your life. This woman is saving lives and you criticize her? Crazy.

Thank you SO MUCH!! My 1 week old bottle babies hadn't pooped at all since I picked them up from the shelter, even when they had been on lactulose for days from the vet and I had tried everything - rectal thermometer, slightly diluted formula, warm baths, etc. (they were straining and crying when I stimulated them so I knew they had to go really bad). I truly believe this method saved their lives!

I try to grow up 3 newborn abandoned kittens. Today are 5 days old, started constipating, this method worked to one of them so I need to keep on trying. Also agree with other comments that this was more helpful than the vet, it makes you wonder why these professionals didn't make any effort!!!
