We visit the BSA Motorcycle stand at Motorcycle Live 2022 at the NEC in Birmingham UK, to have a look at the brand new BSA Scrambler 650 and the BSA Goldstar 650 Motorcycles!
The NEW BSA Scrambler 650 was revealed today and we LOVE it! No pointy plastics, proper right way up forks! A wrapped exhaust, 650cc, single cylinder thumper 4 stroke, stunning looks, cool as a cucumber! This gets our vote! There's a lot of scramblers to choose from from many manufacturers, but BSA have got it just right! Less is more! Rather than dump a catalogue of accessories and parts on it, they have kept it minimalistic and artistic!
We also look at the BSA Goldstar and try it out for size. It's also a great looking modern classic motorcycle and eventually...we will get to ride it and give you our full review in our usual top production quality!
It was great to meet many of our viewers and say hello too!

Before anyone gets too exited BSA needs to get the bike out to dealers and the public. So far all talk no action!

I wasn’t all that impressed with the Goldstar, but that scrambler… Wow!

My grandfather was an electroplater and he chromed all the tanks etc for BSA IN THE 50’s! Every time I see one I think, “my grandad did that!” 😊

Some people have criticized this new BSA, mainly it's the single cylinder and the radiator that puts people off. For me, I agree with the Ol'Man. They are not supposed to be replicas, but they do look in keeping with the old BSA. The scrambler is a good looking bike. It will be interesting to see what 47hp feels like in the real world. I'm guessing that, as a thumper, it should feel quite fast around the back lanes or around town.

Wow! The BSA Scrambler looks fabulous. Deserves much success, and hopefully other manufacturers will re-learn what purposeful really means.

I just cant explain how much I love this motorcycle. Those convenient footpegs, flat handlebars, seats, tank everything is awesome in this scrambler.

I have a Triumph 900 Street Scrambler which I still love and this BSA gives me the same feeling I had when I saw the Triumph. I'm already sold and my deposit money is ready. I'll be a two Scrambler guy soon. Congratulations to BSA's design team... They seem to have gotten it right. 👏😍

Gaiters on forks, headlamp grille, nice bars and basic design with what seems like a good motor, nice anologue clocks. Well done to new BSA. Its not a patch on the lovely old BSAs especially my favourite the 1949 rigid framed A7 with girder forks, the most beautifully styled bike ever made in my opinion. A basic bobber with a utilitarian motor built for real world economy and torque with a simple engine to work on. A twin with timing side bush changed to bearing with a good oil feed and unit gearbox. It could be done a bit like the kawasaki w1 or w2 of the late 1960s which is a great machine with a sorted motor based on the original A7 BSA.

It's good to see the BSA brand still alive and breathing. I owned a 650 Thunderbolt in 1971 which I took to Europe from Jersey and rode around France, Spain and Portugal. Plenty of fond memories from those times.

I never forgot my first bike. A 1969 BSA 500cc twin. Simple, reliable, and just fast enough. Glad to see BSA is still alive ! 🏍

It's great to see you up and moving on 2 feet but don't overdo it. I do hope BSA makes a comeback as well.

I was at MCL today, and when I saw that, I thought wow ! I haven’t been a great fan of scramblers, but that could definitely change my mind!

As an American in my late 50s, I remember BSA as a kid. They were everywhere. I was shocked to see this video and had to Google BSA to learn about the new company. That scrambler is what a motorcycle should look like. It's beautiful. Hopefully it is reliable. I'm happy bikes like this exist.

Totally agree. Look forward to seeing what lights they put on the bike. After a test ride of the new BSA to get to grips with the engine, I expect to see the scrambler in production in 2023. Deposit ready 👌
