On the show, Elaine sings 'Memory', 'If You Love Me' and 'From A Distance' as well as starting the Lottery draw off. Perhaps one of her best TV appearances of later years, backed by a full orchestra. Marvellous!

Am a big Nanci Griffith fan and am biased towards her version, but Elaine just nails it here!! Not heard this version before! John Barrowman has also covered this and his version is also well worth a listen. A very poignant and relevant song whose lyrics still ring true.

I feel Julie gould should get most of the credit she wrote the song and performed it very well not saying Nancy Bette and Elaine also did a good job to each and their own

live on the lottery show. Only a few people get that privellage. Blondie is the only other one I can think off and that was only lead vocals on about their third time more recently- not in the 90s. Only the best for Elaine Page, it had to be live and she added the long notes that aren't on the cd too.
