These guys have potential. If they keep it up and practice hard, who knows.

Man it’s easy to forget how good these guys were/are. Everyone of them is a virtuoso on their instrument. John kills it on electric or stand up every time, Frank has to be one of the most underrated guitarist of all time, and Eric is so often overlooked as a player because he came up in jazz during the 80’s . Chick is a living legend, period. As a drummer, I cannot think of Dave Weckl without a complete sense of amazement overcoming me. I, to this day, remain a die hard Elektric Band fan.

Today was a sad day. I discovered that Chick had passed away on Tuesday (9th February 2021). I am saddened that a major musician in my life has returned to meet the Creator. He will never be forgotten.

They’ve talked to each other without speaking for like 3 decades now. All of them are amazing musicians that swing for the fences every at bat.

I saw these guys perform the entire first album back in 1986. Allan Holdsworth opened the show. A fantastic concert I'll never forget!

I still can’t believe that Chick Corea is gone, almost a year has passed, here he is blazing through a brilliant jam session in t-shirt n jeans with all the youth and energy of a 30 something yet he was 78 yrs old!! He was only 4 months away from his 80th when he passed away! I’m so thankful to have had the privilege to hear his fantastic music throughout the 70s and 80s and his phenomenal genius on all manner of synth keyboards. RIP maestro.

Chick Corea is almost 80. Yet his playing flows like a teenager.

Chick : Great American composer who - at nearly 80 - proves he can still play that thing ;
Frank & Dave : These tireless virtuoso players showing us that 60 is the new 30 ;
John : The anchor, holding it all down as only he can ; Eric : Laying back, swinging as needed.

I've seen this performed on video and live and it has never failed to blow me away... Awesome !!!

I saw these amazing gods in the 80's 90s, we all have aged, they have not only more scarier and making me feel even more inferior for my 45 + years of musical study!! Utterly amazing! This was a fucking rehearsal that appears to be back stage BEFORE the show !! Fantastically awesome ! Why hasn't Frank Gambale reached the popularity of all other guitarist not even half his skill ? I must have spent thousands of dollars on my Dave Weckl sticks over the years, im not even close to his skill level of just one of his limbs ! Thank you for posting this, you have been and always will be my electric /non electric MUSE Chick ! Love you from Detroit !! Peace

I saw these guys play 'Got a Match' live for the first time in 1990 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY my senior year in college with my girlfriend. I'll never forget it.
