English Lesson: 🏴 Must Know English Words & Phrases With Example Sentences Used In England ESL
This lesson, titled "Must Know English Words & Phrases With Example Sentences Used In England," dives into some colloquial English phrases that are often used in England. A quick note: The UK, Great Britain, and The British Isles aren't interchangeable. We have Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England, each with its own unique linguistic twists.
I'm originally from England, so I'll be focusing on phrases you'll likely encounter here. Not to confuse you, but these phrases could have originated elsewhere in Britain! Remember, even though England could fit into Texas five times, we have an astonishing variety of accents, with 20 to 40 different ones, each having unique words and phrases!
Here's what we'll cover in this video:
➡️ Alright
➡️ Anorak
➡️ Banter
➡️ Bobs your uncle
➡️ Bodge something
➡️ Born in a barn?
➡️ Builders tea
➡️ Bender
➡️ Brass monkeys
➡️ Brew
Each term will first be defined and then used in an example sentence - exactly how I would use it in everyday conversation. Oh, and one more thing, expect a 'shedload' of information. Ready to 'get cracking'? There's a sneak peek of our first two phrases!
If there are any phrases you're curious about or want more information on, do leave a comment. I love hearing from you and would be more than happy to answer your questions.
