Boredome is powerful and quite wonderful.

This lockdown has set up a lot of intimate jamming sessions and concerts streaming online, and this made me curious. I was fascinated with how they do it, how music has not stopped even during ECQ. The rest of the people might be tuning to video call apps but with music its harder to make. Net speed and data transfer are your biggest problems during live collabs and performances. So we had to make do with sending tracks thru email back and forth, laying down parts, consolidating to one music software and syncing. Videos were recorded with our own phones and were merged.

Long gone are the days when you needed a lot of money to set up a recording studio. A music software combined with good internet can be as good as a professinal studio. For both pro artists and those tinkering with music like me, this ECQ can create a new style of music based on home made sound.

This lockdown has a gift. TIME. Coping with this quarantine has led me to go back to my passion of playing music.
