Lighter Footprints was pleased to welcome John Kennedy, Member for Hawthorn, Paul Hamer, Member for Box Hill and Will Fowles, Member for Burwood, reviewing 2021, and considering how climate action can be accelerated in 2022. The Members answered question on climate highs and lows, actions that they could take that would facilitate community climate action, constituent attitudes to the question of climate and how local groups can interact with the parliamentary process to positive influence climate actions.
The MPs there addressed audience questions including on EV uptake and financial incentives or disincentives, cycling safety, logging in old growth forests, water catchment protection, the growing shift to independents and their legacy, how would they like to be best remembered.
