Let’s understand the main architecture of Kafka: learn about Topics, Partitions, Replication, Consumer, and Producer. We’ll take a look at message ordering, delivery semantics, and the durability of events. And finally, let’s take an overview of distributed computing, leader election, Zookeeper, and Kafka Raft.

Daniel Bojczuk - Making your house smart with AWS
Nowadays, we are surrounded by technology. Everything is connected to the internet, from lamps to self-driving cars, from heaters to fridges. In this presentation, Daniel will show you the basics of IoT with AWS and turn live, a simple lamp into a smart lamp. We will go through the “topic” and “shadow” concepts and see how the device and apps can communicate through them.
