Well, I guess the grass is not always greener. Spent the day re-setting up my smart home after buying a nest hub. Super fast, yes but I can appreciate how much more consumer friendly the shows are to set up, use, and integrate into your ecosystem.

IF YOU'RE IN THE EU/AU - There seems to be some issues now when switching the account over from one country to the USA. Yes, this will still give you the new features, but it may cause you the loss of your routines. In some cases, users have lost their devices connected to the Amazon account they're on too.

That sounds terrible, but if you just revert your account to your original country it'll all come back.

So the question becomes, do you want the features and to have to redo some things, or do you want to stick with what you have and wait? You'll have to make this decision for yourself, but you have both opportunities now!

ahhhh, turn off screen rotation and photo display! I think not, this is half the reason I have echo show's, to show my photos! I love this feature, I also love the news, tips, weather etc. I would not be without this.

I appreciate how you put up Alexa commands as text on the screen instead of setting off my Echo. Only suggestion would be to place the text where captions won't cover them up.

Best tips I have found so far. Would love to see your ideas on Alexa advanced commands. I find they are very picky with wording and punctuation.

Very helpful video. Can you do a video specifically on setting up an Echo Show 8 for a senior and teaching them basic navigation for communication, internet, email, etc.? Not smart home.

When I am watching Netflix on my Echo Show 10 and I ask Alexa to turn off the lights, I don't want the screen to display this notification as it disrupts my viewing. Is there a way to turn this off?

Adaptive listening still won’t appear in my Show 5 or 10. Tried forcing software updates today and the 10 did update, but still no adaptive listening on either. Love these deep dives.

I have an Alexa echo show 10 . I usually stream a radio station and at one time my Alexa would display the artist and song titles . It stopped doing that on its own and I don’t know how to get it back. Do you know how to do that ?

Is there a way to find out who else has an Echo Device to connect with? Kind of like a Directory, to find some Old Friends I can now reconnect with?

I can't get that right swipe to do anything other than go to the next home screen. Is that another US-only option?
Same with 'tap to Alexa'. Option is there and selected but does nothing.

Her “By the way” suggestions after a response (usually totally unrelated to the question that had been asked), have been driving me nuts. Can’t seem to turn off in app or the device itself settings..it’s not in Things to Try. Any clue?

I use my echo show as a bluetooth speaker connected to the pc, so I would like what I'm "transmitting" not to appear on the screen, is that possible?
