I get as far as "Interfaces Selection" but sensei doesn't seem to recognize or detect an available interfaces.

As of 9/21/2020 at least installing in a virtual firewall finally works. But overall the product is more about "pretty" graphs than it is about substance. And the price tag which is based on unique ipaddress is ridiculous. It's our hardware doing all work. This simply stores the data in a mondo (outdated by the way) database. Which again is on your own firewall. Then recalls the data into graphs and logs. The only "value" your paying for is the block list categories.

So to recap, your own hardware still does what it used, plus it now needs to run this new database and logging plug-in. But now you have the option to pay to run their software what will help visualize your logs. And give you access to their categorized lists of filterable sites.

I tried installing this today, and for some reason I never could get into the webinterface anymore.
Ended up having to login to the console and stop both eastpac and elasticsearch, then delete elasticsearch and os-sensei packages, then reboot the server.
(For a while I lost all internet access too)

It is not working, there is probably a bug 🐛, when user tries to do Configuration of Sensei in OPNSense in a VM, the first step for Hardware Check shows an error: Hardware configuration could not be detected! 👎
