If the issue is the Confidence in asking the most expensive thing then why telling the sales person that ‘its too cheap for me. ‘
The whole story is visiting the store and asking the cost of expensive. Its just that whether you can afford it or not- today.

I don't feel embarrassed because "I dont deserve to even see the most expensive watch." I feel embarrassed because expensive watches are for wankers with deep insecurities and empty and hollow lives and the kind of uber-wanker who would act like that takes it up to a million. If a friend of mine did that I would either no longer be his friend or never let him live it down.

Well I think it's a test for just one way of confidence. I grew up in a poor family, but always dressed well and spoke eloquently for my environment. Numerous times was allowed entry into very luxurious places. But never when I go with friends or relatives, cause they don't have such a manner. Numerous times been to very expensive shops, even though not buying anything, but staff served like I was important.

I think this challenge is very easy when you're not materialistic and don't care about money (like me). For me much harder confidence test would be to talk lewd things and swear. Even though my parents and people surrounding me does it freely. Maybe it relates to me having inner sense of class and feel acting like that is just rude and boring (cause many people do that, just like wearing same boring brand clothing).
