Companies can promote whomever they want. Consumers of media can determine what they do and don’t want to watch. Caitlin was the best women’s basketball player in the tournament and lived up to the hype imo. Promoting her has nothing to do with racism. Tom Brady isn’t the only NFL player who is advertised, and even in his era was arguably less popular than Peyton Manning who was less accomplished.
