This film speaks volumes .. it put forward strong politics.. that is eqaulity and social justice.. the film starts by saying that each person has a destiny.. and here the three charactets done by tovino has the destiny of bringing equality .. which is brought symbolically through the mystical lamp.. the first character Kelu is of divine origin and he initiated the destiny of bringing the lamp to common people from the royal family.. but he fails then comes maniyan..(kelus own generation)who is of asura ganam( asura origin) having qualities of extreme confidence and ruthlessness..for him nothing else matters than bringing the lamp.. which he also fails.. now comes ajayan who is manushya ganam( human origin) he unlike his ancestors are normal being.. but he was the one whi was well balanced to bring justice and equality ..that is the lamp.. so in way this film is a masterpiece.. extreme detailing and string character buliding

Tovino has given convincing performance for all 3 roles, while maniyan is a performer, the way Tovino played Ajayan with those subtle common man was amazing. The portrayal of Kunjikelu was flawlessly elegant.

The director had mentioned that Kunjikelu has the elements of Deva, Maniyan has elements of Asura and for Ajayan elements of a vulnerable human.

He had done that in Minnal Murali also.
