1:55 April 26th will mark 13 years since losing my dad…I have listened to this section on repeat and just wept. I feel seen and understood in a way I hadn’t before and was not expecting it. Grief is complex, erratic, life long, searing hot, but at the core it truly is love. Nothing more or less. Simply beautiful.

I've been waiting for this song. I saw the show sometime in autumn last year, expecting just to have an evening of laughs. But then this song unfolded and I was in unstoppable tears for the first time ever in a theatre. I lost my little brother in the beginning of last year, so the lyrics hit so damn hard. Beautiful summary of how grief changes you completely, no turning back, and it somehow seeps into every part of who you are afterwards.
