Tesla - FSD Beta 11.3.1 - Highlights - Smarter Auto Lane Changes #shorts

Although FSD Beta 11.3.1 includes many enhancements & bug fixes, one of my favorites is the improved handling of route-based auto lane changes on the highway. Previously with Navigate on Autopilot, the car would often times try and make the final lane change nearly 2 miles before an upcoming highway transition. This behavior often put us into the slowest, most populated lane causing unnecessary issues & slowdowns. As of FSD Beta 11.3.1 (and with the Assertive FSD Profile selected), the ego car now will make the final lane change around 0.5 miles before the upcoming transition much like a human would. This behavior is a great start however additional tuning is required as it seems to perform similar behavior even when traffic is heavy.

And others are complaining it’s waits too long to move over to an exit lane and they can’t get over and have to rudely cut the line.
