I don’t think that more people will go to A’s games. Even back in the 70’s when the A’s had the best team in Baseball, they won several World Series. But no one went to the games, the Colosseum was empty.

This is similar to what happened to my chargers in San Diego. Half the residents want it half of them don’t want it. The hardcore sports fans won’t outweigh the property owners and investors. New stadium sounds nice, but there are a bunch of other areas the money could be allocated to that would actually help the city of Oakland instead of possibly putting it in more debt. As an Angels fan I hope the A’s stay so I can still visit the beautiful Bay Area and not have to drive to the desert 🐫 for road games
