This video demonstrates what Crawl Control can do for you when you are stuck in soft sand. In this demonstration, I am lowered to 15 PSI on 35" tires. This is all done on purpose to show Crawl Control's capabilities. Big shoutout to @turb_braptor for taking the video! Go check out his channel!

Nice to see this being demonstrated more and more. The original Toyota debut of this left a lot of people thinking it was a gimmick. When I bought my TRD 4R, I went right to the beach and did exactly this as well. So many thought you only could go in reverse, so I proved what you just did, CC don't care what direction. I had my rig down to the frame all alone on the beach and was 100% confident it would walk itself out. Incredible machine. Too bad there are still so many people that don't get what is going on. "Air down the tires" "use max tracks" etc etc. The point is, with CC, you don't have to do any of that. That is what I love about it. Stock factory tires(not mud/sand or snow tires)will do this all day long fully aired up. :)

As a Wrangler owner, I’ve never hated on Tacos. Gorgeous truck man; and excellent demo - I’m impressed.

Great tutorial! We found that for the quickest demo “wow” factor is to sink the rear axle in 2WH, then sink the front in 4WL. Then switch to the Crawl feature and let the mind blowing begin🤯🤯🤯🤯

"Pulse Drive Technology", a term that I coined in High School. When I started hanging with all the big truck guys, I noticed that they would always utilize a technique still used today. No, no brakes are used. You are literally straddling the line between using momentum and forward drive in conjunction to achieve forward progress. It made perfect sense to me at 16. So I joked around about having an automated drive feature to pulse the throttle at varying rates via a live data feed to the ecu. Never pursued it.

...now here I am, a disabled combat veteran, 37 years old watching my own idea unfold in front of me. Awesome!

I’ve used my crawl control in my Tacoma 3X to get me out of some very serious situations, thank you Toyota ! I love my Gen3 Tacoma!!!

If you ever have driven in sand you know the rules. hell a 1986 Pontiac wagon with aired down tires can drive on the hard pack sand like the ranger, its off the easy wet packed, and into the soft that really tests your machine and skill.I have years of sand 4x4ing, and That's pretty impressive, well done Toyota.

My 2014 FJ has crawl control, I believe it actually started with the FJ, never had an opportunity to use it yet, love to see how well it does work when it comes time!

First off... That truck is gorgeous! Just the right amount of lift and tire. Color are contrasts... 🔥

Do a video showcasing the limitations of a mid travel set up. Just don't total the truck 😊

I was always curious how well crawl control would work with bigger tires... thanks for the video!!!

Very cool. FJ owner here. Drive in sand all the time on Cape Cod, so I am always curious about getting unstuck in various situations. One way in sand is to lower the tire pressure to 12 psi, even as low as 9 psi. In fact, most of us ride on 12 psi on the beach as a general rule. Thanks for the video.

That's little Ranger in the back had the most subtle flex ever, probably 2WD too 😆

Crawl mode is cool, it’s stepping on the gas for you and hitting the brakes at perfect intervals.

That's a really cool feature for the truck! It's taking the sand and filling in the holes and gaining traction at the same time and just slowly getting out on it's own

That Tacoma is CLEAN AF. The C4 low profile bumper looks great too.

If it wasn’t for needing the towing power I’d love to buy a Taco. Love the mobility of small trucks. I’ve had several Dakotas and a TOYOTA T100.
