15:10 She was said to be inspired by Japanese street wear …her back up dancers/entourage were called Harajuku Girls, and their Stage Names were derived from the title of her first solo album: Love, Angel, Music, and Baby.

Hearing Izzy sing these songs was just icing on the cake. I love Izzy's voice

*2000s music was the peak era of music imo.*

Let's go Izzy! Show off that awesome voice! 17 years already??? Sheesh. It feels like last week sometimes.

NOTE. REGARDING BLEEDING LOVE: Jesse McCartney does it at every of his concerts CAUSE HE WROTE IT! He released a live album pre-Covid I want to say and one of the songs on there is his version of Bleeding Love.

With songs like these, becoming a teenager was quite the foot in the door. What a time to be 13

It feels strange that 2007 is now in throwback territory but am glad to have gone down this memory lane of music! Reminds me of fun, simpler times at university..

Bleeding Love wasn't supposed to be FOR Jesse McCartney -- he actually wrote it -- give credit where credit is due. Y'all make it sound like someone else wrote it & it got pulled out from under his feet. He performs it at his shows & obviously get royalties as the songwriter

I need a 2000s teens (millennials in their 30s) vs 2000s kids (older gen z in their 20s) “who knows more nostalgic 2000s songs” game with teams of two (one each) and buzzers

15:13- those women are the Harajuku Girls. Gwen Stefani, at the time, was really into Japanese culture and street fashion, so she put the group together to represent that.

Fun Fact that I learned at a Jesse McCartney concert a few years ago is that he is the one that wrote Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis and he sang it for us and he was beautiful at it!!!

Gwen Steffani's backup dancers are not just Asians theyre Harajuku girls as mentioned her other songs. This was her Harajuku girl era.
