If you’re in a rip current and a good enough swimmer, at least you can swim parallel to the shore out of the rip current.

But these square waves are terrifying cuz it doesn’t seem like there’s anywhere to swim *out* of these currents.

Fun Fact: If you are familiar with chiptune, you'll know that square waves are made when sound waves look rectangular, and depending on the width of the sound wave, there will be a pulse wave instead. Square waves are also used famously as the lead instrument in the first Super Mario Bros. game for the NES, along with most other games for that system.
