This familiar and delightful waltz from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” has been nicely arranged for handbells and optional flute or C-instrument. Although the added instrument will be “lovely icing on this musical cake,” it plays well using just bells. Written in F-major, it is mostly Rung with nicely-placed marts, thumb damps, and shakes, which accentuate the phrasings. Effective placement of dynamics emphasize the graceful movement of this wonderful work. It is accessible by moderately-accomplished groups and will be a lovely addition for your holiday concerts and more!
