Lyrics - Robert Robinson (1758)
Music - 'Wyeth's Repository of Sacred Music' (1813)
Key - Eb Major
Tempo - 74 bpm

Please enjoy these simple recordings and feel free to give suggestions and requests! Thumbs up?... What did you like? Thumbs down?... What can I change for you?

Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to help folks learn harmony parts to hymns and not to sound perfect. These recordings will sound a touch raw for a few reasons; I am not a trained singer, I am using very simple recording hardware, my recording 'studio' is a coat closet that is just big enough for me to fit in. ( :

If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.

My recording process:
-Record each part on a Rode NT1-A on to a Zoom H4 recorder
-Some pitch correction in Melodyne
-Mix in Mixcraft 6
-Combine audio and sheet music in Corel VideoStudio X7

To my knowledge, most of the hymns that I record and post are public domain (except the ones I've obtained permission for). If you notice one that is NOT public domain, let me know as soon as possible so that I can take that video down.

Jesus yes we come to you as a nation and seek your forgiveness. Please come in to our hearts and clean our souls so we can become closer to you and love one another as you thought us.

You left off the fifth verse... :( Pity... It's my favorite...

O that day when freed from sinning,
  I shall see Thy lovely face;
Clothèd then in blood washed linen
  How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry,
  Take my ransomed soul away;
Send thine angels now to carry
  Me to realms of endless day.

On your hymn O thou font of every blessing (Nettleton) you miss the word "me"

However, I like your hymns very much, I am as n Organist in a large Episcopal (Anglican) Cathedral. I would very much like to hear some hymns from the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal.

Thank you for your gifts.

I mean this in the absolute best way: you sound a bit like Weird Al

After the word "teach" in verse one should be the word "me". You don't need to post this comment. Grace to you!

The only problem i have with this is the changed lyrics in the last verse. It should be,
"Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;"
rather than,
"Never let me.."

Kind of disappointed when I listen to an old favorite only to find that the words have been changed. 😥
