Celine Dion grew up listening to Streisand a music and aspiring to sing like her. Celine was born in Quebec, Canada on 1968. She was married to Rene Angelil ( her much older.manager. They have 2 children. Rene died several years ago)

She was married to the actor, Elliot Gould ( 1963- 1971). and they have 1 son. She didn't get married again until 1998 to actor, James Brolin ( they are still married) Barbra is in her 80's now and still working. Barbra KS one of online few performrrs/entertainers to have won the prestigious EGOT....Emmy, Gra!my, Oscar and Tony Awards. (Whoopi Goldberg is another). She had sold over 150 million albums. If you look her up her list of accomplishments is very long.

Barbra also starred in the 1970's version of the movie, "A Star Is Born" with Kris Kristofferson ( country singer and member of the group the Highwaymen ).

That's exactly right!!! This was all about a conversation between a mother and her daughter. David Foster, who had produced both artists during their careers, wrote the song specifically for Celine to perform with Barbra as it was a lifelong dream of her's to sing with her idol, so David made it happen. The song was actually written by David, Linda Thompson (Elvis' one-timw girlfriend), and Celine. Since there's a 26-year difference between the two ladies (Celine was 29, Barbra 55), the lyrics were perfect.

Celine's voice is stunning, but I agree with you, there's something other-worldly coming from Streisand's throat. I compare it to singing in 3D, while everyone else is in 2D. She's so very special.

Definitely agree with several other posters, Barbra's duet with Donna Summer, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" [long version] is a drf must!
