I much preferred it before it was appropriated... Back when it meant being aware of systematic suppression of minorities. It used to simply mean you knew the racial biases of the people in charge were baked into the systems you are forced to use.

This is a free country and that is why Coutts can decide who they want as customers. I can't open a Coutts account, neither can 99% of the country. Given what I know about a friend who was offered an investment opportunity by them that after his accountant had seen it led to him closing his Coutts Account would I want to.

This woman's argument is ridiculous. She's got the whole thing upside down. We should not be free to broadcast offensive views on a public platform. As an individual, fine.

Coutts is also a private bank, that has very clear guide lines about holding a bank account. He may uave breached those, and coutts is premium brand, that may not want to be associated with him. Like ferrari, they vet their customers.

Banks, especially ones for the privileged class, can choose who they allow to open an account. The amount of media time dedicated to this when the country is in such a state is gross.
