The lungfish line is a perfect fit since Splatoon is all about sea creatures that evolved to live on land. It's like he's trying to say "look, my plan is pretty much like what you guys did, right?" in an attempt to get people on board with it.

The closest voice, personality, and mind to the telephone Tartar will be AUTO from Wall-E.
And I freaking love it.

By the way this entire speech about humanity & such shows the task at hand Tartar focuses on.

Honestly.. This voice is amazing. No reason for any other voice to be tartar’s, because this is perfect.
(And it matches the in-game gurgles of tartar pretty well, too!)

This is terrifying.
Is it me or is nobody talking about how amazing of a villain Commander Tartar is. It started as having good intentions, waiting 12, 000 years to pass the vast majority of human knowledge to the next intelligent life form. But it was disgusted with Octolings and inklings and other inhabitants of the new world. Lied to over 10, 000 test subjects as a Telephone and tells them they can bring them to the surface or "The Promised land", killed them and used what little of there body’s was left to add to his army and use as a weapon to destroy the world and start all over again. It has no regards to life and will kill with no remorse. I know it’s an A.I. but even that’s questionable for how deep is his A.I is. With him turning on his creator’s originally intended need, for Tartar’s own world where everyone will bow to him. And it did this all by himself, slowing waiting for each test subject to bring Tartar the thangs to kill them, and built a giant laser to destroy the world just to make it his own. Tartar is one of the most messed up villains for being a Nintendo character. I really hope we get to see it again as the main villain for Splatoon 3. Once again with an amazing plan to destroy everyone for their non human ways.

I haven't played Splatoon in 6 years but this makes me want to give it a shot again, that's how well done this is. Breen's dialogue works great, especially at the start when he makes analogies to the ocean and evolution.

This deserves so much more attention than it has. Tartar was always weird, but you've just made him unsettling, heavily reminds me of AI Colonel's speech from MGS2 (eventhough this is y'know, Half-Life). Amazing work.
