So I tried these prayers recently on Ranged and done a video test on it and I think it has potential. Of course from the obvious answer, if you can use ECB, this is worthless. But for bosses for a player that struggles to use ECB or doesn't have it, it still has uses.
The accuracy/difference between curses and regular prayer book is even more far apart if you drink an elder ovl. 505 on curses and 266 with zealots. 327 for Rigour.
I'm the crazy one that decided to try this at Hard Mode Vorkath. I use Eclipsed Soul for the healing and what I would do is crit during Elite Dracolich buff and then swap back to protection prayers to get that nice regeneration + damage reduction. Unfortunately salve amulet also stops me from fully benefiting from zealot's necklace until after Vorkath flies away.

Another boss that is very useful at is Nomad because soul split doesn't work at Nomad. But this one, Nomad cannot do anything.
I found a huge major problem with zealot necklace and Rigour swapping. With how quick prayers work, if you try to swap them in the middle of the fight, it will disable any existing protection prayers which I found to be very annoying. I ended up setting a protection prayer by default on top of it. With how limited quick prayers are, this is just very annoying to constantly edit. What if a boss has more than one protection prayers you need to use, that's even more annoying.
Overall, I think it's an option and does require more crit RNG flicking if you want to use it for healing and take advantage of the zealot necklace You do also lose out on extra damage from reflection curses though. For someone that sucks at prayer flicking, I don't think I am going to use it often at bosses where I can't use ECB. Only exception is Masuta because I actually have no problem surviving with zealot's necklace + Eclipsed Soul + Protection prayers. Wen Arrows do make accuracy less of an issue.

Best of all, zealot's necklace in Slayer is very nice if you can survive with just Eclipsed Soul.

I hope they add more stuff that takes random forgotten mechanics and gives them a new usecase. Zealots has always sat on the precipice of viability but always fell short.

Honestly ive been lovong this prayer at hm kerapac mage camp.
Animate dead really helps remove some of the mitigation issues and leaves you really similar to using power gear.
But also just using tectonic with it has been nice for anything hm kerry ed and under as of yet. Havent had much time elsewhere. But honestly enjoying it a lot

All it takes is for jagex to release t90+ prayers in the prayer book and this could actually be really powerful

I want to test this with Necro tank gear on afk bossing methods. The sustain should be better as it's 10% of max health. I know Necro isn't particularly a crit heavy style though. A conjure that can crit could be interesting.
Also it could be quite good with magic and melee tank gear when they get around to bringing the hp up on those.

Everyone I see keeps using this against bosses. I'd love to see it tested at places like vyrewatch/slayer where it could allow you to have extended trips in the same way soulsplit does before 92 prayer. Feels like the best place for the intended target audience of the prayer to get the use out of it
