Technically, Muzan didn’t die to the sun. He was burned to ash, yes, but then again he became alive in Tanjiro’s body, which Tanjiro let go of Muzan’s cells in his body, technically killing Muzan forever.

Honestly killing Doma was quite the feat, like the upper 3 and Muzan were all basically invisible… Akaza and Koku killed themselves, after inflicting serious damage. Muzan was killed but wiped out almost the entire core first. Doma just got bodied. I personally theorize that Akaza would’ve made a better Upper 2 but that Muzan valued Doma for his psychotic tendencies, whereas Akaza was too human, and never allowed to move up higher
