I've had the 966s for awhile. Great boot. Can take a resole.

I have the 215 Salathe on my feet as I type this. Love them as well. I wear them daily.

When I cook them I can resole them as well.

Zamberlan makes fantastic footwear for the outdoors if they fit your foot.

I've used many over a few decades.

Since 2008 I have owned 15-20 pairs Zamberlan. The Baltora was the only synthetic and it was great till it leaked and then it sucked. Full leather for me and hunting in 2090 or 2092s depending on temps. Love the stiff mountaineering boots, we hunt in the 9-10k range and it is steep

Boots or a very personal thing, if you can send them back after trying them on I would like to try all of them on as well, I had Zan Berlin in the past and they were a blister factory, I have run Lowa for 35 years! The only boot that was ready to go straight out of the box, “for me”

Sure do wish there was a place to go to try on all these brands like this to see what works for my feet. Way too expensive to get it wrong.

Now that I had time to watch the whole video it’s pretty clear that trying on the boot is critical, he decided against a number of these boots based on feel. Can’t get myself to spend this much money online as a gamble.

Great video! I learned a few things about proper fit and what to look for in a boot. Any chance on doing a review on the La sportiva aequilibrium gtx?

I want to try some zamber mountain treks.. I do have the same issues. I have long, narrow feet, high arches. and nearly zero pronation from years of running on zero drop shoes. If I was wealthy enough I would also try some zameberlan Salathes gtx rr's for early hot season. My feet don't ever get 'hot' so I like a STIFF mountain boot year round.. I've tried the low cuts and just rather my high cut (8-10'') year round. I just prefer a high ankle support year round in the rocks.

How do I sort boots by stiffness on your site? I want a boot that I’ll never feel a rock on the bottom of my foot.
