People should study history and realize that the USA provoked Japan into attacking Pearl Harbor…then hid intel of the coming attack from the ships left behind. Efforts to enter WWII had failed to motivate the people to support entering the war, so they needed a body count that would do the job. This doesn’t negate the evil of what Japan did, but they had no plans on the USA at that time. To the common American who knew nothing about Japanese culture and custom, they didn’t see anything provocative, but the State Department knew what they were doing when they issued demands to the Emperor of Japan.
