How to pick up a mooring buoy, and moor your boat. The principles are the same no matter what vessel you are in.
In this video after the standard way to pick up the mooring using the engines we actually show you how to sail your yacht up to a mooring ball without using your engine and pick up the mooring ball that way.

Make sure Elana is reading good stuff the baby is listening. Oh and when you were on the other boat changing the accessory belt, there was an adjuster on the alternator, just looser the bolt on the slide and it loosens and tightens the tension on the belt. Some have a tensioner that looks like a pully. Safe travels mate

Once tied up if the water is too cold to swim on the mooring to check it is ok, then I like to put the boat in reverse and give it a gentle pull to check the mooring is strong enough to hold the boat if the wind gets up.
