What a revelation. Show up on time. Know your job. Don't have a hangover. Gee. What discipline.

I love how actors always seem to be amazed by things like this. The greatest advice is to show up on time ready to do your actual job? Yeah, no shit.

Showing up on time is important for any job.

As a Cleveland girl, we appreciate your history with Great Lakes. They still do great productions. We appreciate your gifts.

The way these people look at each other. Almost as if they think they’re listening to someone changing the world

I liked the look on his face when ricky gervais did the golden globes

Not that usual “Thank you” speech people give at award shows. Refreshing.

He's such a good actor, when he's giving a speech! But we all know who he truly is.

Showing up on time is underrated. I know people who are lazy or just flat out dumb who have worked at one company for years, because they show up and leave on time. Most companies hire for the manpower, they know not every employee is a home run.

All of that advice and practicing it shows respect for your craft, job, and the other people.

Tom Hanks is right about everything, in this speech. It is called respect for yourself and respect for the other person.

Wow. I remember him from his sitcom days. I'm that old. I may not like him as a person, but he's hard to ignore in ANY movie.

It’s amazing how important these people think they are they have a look in their eyes like what he’s saying is the cure for cancer

What an intelligent guy. Sometimes the most simple lessons are the hardest to learn.

I'm at work 45 minutes early every day. I sit down in the break room, eat my lunch and read my paper and then have about 15-20 minutes to relax and prepare myself mentally for the day's work. I'm 63 years old, a sous chef and I can count on one hand the total number of times I have been late for work in 45 years. My boss sets his watch by me. I walk in, he looks at his watch, adjusts it accordingly and then goes about his business. People who are chronically late have short careers.
