I was surprised the godslayer greatsword didn't make the list. It has a long ass wind up but hits like a truck and has a fantastic follow up attack. Also black flame is really viable in later NG+s. Very fun to use (obviously blasphemous blade is and always will be number 1)

I have a feeling faith builds and paticularly holy dmg is gona be really strong in the dlc. I think that death and undeath will be major themes in the dlc especially since everything late game resists holy.

I have personaly farmed the Halo Sythe a Number of times, and the (subjective) Dropchance doesnt seem too bad. I highly recommend farming it with every faith build.

Weapons, skills and incantations that kill those who live in death first try actually say in the description that they are especially effective against those who live in death. While these always do holy damage, not all holy damage weapons have the description or the effect. Just check the descriptions, and you'll know which items have the effect.

Essentially, any weapon or spell that can outright kill undead tend to have "Effective against Those Who Live in Death" in their description somewhere. there may be some that don't say it that i haven't found yet.

I just use holy pots against those who live in death. It works great, they do massive damage and prevents them from reviving. There's no need to change equipment or apply buffs to get this effect. Just keep 4 or 5 regular holy pots on hand and that's it. In my opinion, it's one of the best uses for any of the regular pot items.

While we're ranting about double-tapping undead enemies, it drives me BANANAS that you can't lock onto the dead-ish enemies. The number of times I've had to take four or five swings at a re-animating enemy before I finally hit them is higher than I'd care to admit.

The Erdtree Bow does a great job of killing those who live in death as well. I use holy arrows with it on my Blasphemous Herald build that I tweeked from the Fextralife build guide.

I noticed something weird happening in Sage's Cave with the Last Rites buff up in combination with the Sentry Torch in the offhand - it seems to sometimes cause a small amount of tick damage to undead in a wide radius regardless of terrain or line of site. I suspect it's a bug and that the sentry torch has a big collision volume that's getting a property from the Last Rites aura, and it doesn't seem to always happen, my guess is there needs to be an invisible wall or mob to hit at least once to make it active.

Elden Ring by far the best Game i played. It took me 20hours to even beat the first dungeon this cat Skulptur opponent. Never have i been challanged that much and i loved every single second of it took me 250hours to finish the story and finish in genereal with 82%

For killing undead from what I've seen it's when a weapon has an aura, using sacred blade will do it, so will other holy weapon arts that make the sword glow. I imagine the consumable that applies the same works too.

I ran into the same issue with “those who live in death” I ran through the same lines of thought. Equipping that sacred sacred blade on any weapon that can use it kills them first go but only if you activate it. I found that the coded sword will kill them in one go if you use its weapon art. So it seems like only the golden order sword is capable of killing them without activating the special abilities. For anything else you need to use a holy damage special attack
