Basically, if a height difference exists between Obi-Wan and his opponent momentarily before an attack, Obi-Wan will triumph, regardless of his own highfication. This is how he defeated Darth Maul despite being vertically lesser than the Sith apprentice. And also how he won in this video.

Actually Obi Wan is the master of the low ground. He's just taunting and sass.

Fight with maul, low ground.
Fight with Dooku, even ground, lost both times.
Fight with Greivous, low ground.
Fight with Anakin, after Anakin jumped, low ground.
Fight with Vader, even ground. Martyred.
