i can’t believe carp fishermen do all this. all you need is a size 8 hook, a weight and 12lb line. simple as that.

I just use a running sinker rig with 1-3 circle hooks when I'm not holding the rod. For bait I just use a few bits of super sweet corn high up on the hook shank near the eye and than a fat nitro worm hooked 2-3 times just below the hook barb leaving the head end to move around. It gives you all 3 good sent, bright color and lots of movement and you can inflate the worm so it floats of the bottom too if you want. I have caught many big carp and cats using this method but each to their own. :)

For me a Ronnie rig on a short rig maybe Nash trigger or thinking anglers hook material in a pva bag

All the guys knocking rigs up like this and fishing three rods on 80 quids worth of bait all give me funny looks when im 20 mins and 10 tigernuts into a one rod sesh and im already in 😂

Definitely the most overused rig out there and often not optimal.
For me, blowback rig and hinge stiff covers me for most things

I like to fish more lighter, this is way to heavy rig, i called it the metal rig.

Nuff scrap metal, I'd weigh that rig box in at the scrapers n buy some nice end tackle
