Oranges and apples are both fruit but look and taste different. Software development agility and project management agility are both agile but they are NOT the same. This confuses and conflates them. There is very little here that explains what agility looks like when applied to the whole of project management.

After 35 years in projects I never heard the term 'traditional' project management until recently. It does not exist and the comparisons made between it and agility are completely artificial. In fact, project management professionals operate in an agile way, most without realising it. E.g. Who does more management than they need to?

And by the way, projects have NEVER been defined by a life-cycle.
