Regular Goblins only have 10hp, but the ones that ran from the heros had 26hp. Shows how important it is to run and live another day.

I think the reason you're unable to use salvage is due to the use of the word 'gained'. So it's for when you have 2+ armour as the 1 point is the base stat.

40:55 - Your Guard has a Base Armor of 1 and can gain additional armor through skills like "Armor Up"
"Salvage" can remove this additional armor and turn it into healing, but not their base armor.
