When I want to be obedient to God but don’t know where to start…

Obedience.

That’s an interesting topic. I found myself reading the Bible and adopting principles from the life of Jesus…

but how do those principles apply to “Deanna in 2023”. I would say things like…

“…but I live in a different time, how could that relate to me?”

There was a pressure to “get it all right” and most times I would stress out over where to begin…

One thing to remember…. The Lord meets us where we are.

So His level of expectation is not set on you NOW for the person you’ll be in 10 years. In ten years you’ll have more responsibility because you’ll be in a deeper relationship with Him then…

So what can I do now?

How can I be obedient now?

I do the best I can with what Scripture through the Holy Spirit teaches me and I exercise MY AUTHORITY.

The Lord is a good Father. He isn’t a micromanager so while we feel He is ever looking over our shoulder, He rest in the authority He has already given you as His child.

Now it’s time to create some space for the instructions that carry more weight.

I would always ask God what should I do and His “quiet” spoke louder than I imagined.

“Look at the details of your life. Your hands are too full. Where can we make room for more intimacy and deeper levels of responsibility?”

You have the power to decide….to eliminate… to look at the result of what you’ve brought into your life…

Where can we clean house? 💭 let’s start here first.

Thank u dear niece for these words of inspiration! Again u and God have come into my life with what I needed to hear...alot of times I think I'm being disobient in my personal walk w God because I think I can do it if its simple or get confused at what I should be doing. Now i kno if i can bet on God and release what I'm holding onto ill see it ripple in my life. Wow...awsome words! To God be the glory!🙏🏾 🤎
