Wiki states (as old info that maybe needs to be updated) that *projectile direct hits* do benefit from the combo counter. Maybe that's what changed.

This happened with slam launching too. Said they fixed it a long time ago shortly after melee 2.9, still works to this day.

when u launch a normal contagion and u do a heavy slam before the proyectile lands it gets heavy attack buffs, at least for what i tried that Is the thing that got fixed

Hey that should maybe not at all be the priority of DE. There are still numerous gamebreaking bugs that force you to extract or ruin the fun in games. Like for example the invincible Thrax in Ghost form that doesn’t stop his nullified beam, very annoying when trying to play the newer Lua Missions and farming for Voruna or the other specific Loot you only get here, cause you can’t progress cause you can’t kill the Thrax so you can just reset and hope it doesn’t happen again, and it happened a lot for me already. Another really annoying and long lasting problem is when you can’t see your teammates on the side for whatever reason anymore, similar to the one with Extractors where you can’t see the progress. Please DE prioritize the right things.

Shhhh.... this is one of those things that are "harder" to pull off than your regular "left-click-go-boom" weapons and definitely do not need a nerf.

Speaking of, I remember you used to be able to trigger the projectile twice before landing, bullet jump > shoot > double jump > shoot again, im still kinda pissed they removed it considering there are buffs that can refresh jumps

I mean practically speaking even the xoris, glaive and glaive prime(and other thrown melee weapons which are there and I'm not aware or whether it's only these three)do heavy attack without you having to actually slam the ground, then again they are thrown melee weapons and not held melee weapons but again they do heavy attack without you having to slam the ground so maybe the zaw combined with the exodia contagion have the same principle? Or it could also be like excalibur's exalted blade which can send like these slash type things through the air(not sure how to describe it exactly 😅)but it's also at the same time as mentioned a heavy attack so maybe it's a combination of both?(as in thrown melee's heavy attack in the form of an air projectile like excalibur's exalted blade)

in all honesty even tho exodia is super strong and works well in SP and archon content i NEVER see ppl run it, myself included. it would be one thing if every player started using a zaw with exodia but this isnt even the case.

I'm very much not looking forward to DE removing aerial heavy meleeing as a kneejerk reaction because it has an interaction with exodia contagion, instead of just severing the interaction and leaving the ability to aerial heavy melee alone.

Getting tired of the 'unintended' weasel word being used as cover for removing older features as bandaid fixes for tangential problems.

heavy attacking from a slide gives a heavy attack but with slide animation. the exo projectile anim overrides the slide attack anim. :shrug: been doing it for a long while. not sure if its actually fixed or not.

I have no idea what they could mean. Maybe there was some other movement that allowed for a heavy attack that wasn't allowed?

They better not get rid of the "bug" because Exodia Contagion is fun to use.
