Equivalent ratios can be used to find missing values. In this video, I use the box method to solve these ratio problems.
Problem 1 I must mix my oil for my motorcycle in a ratio of oil to gas in a ratio of 1 to 32. How many ounces of oil do I need for 146 ounces of gas?
My bike has a ratio of the front sprocket to the rear of 42 to 10. If my rear sprocket is 15 teeth, how large must the front sprocket need to be.
