I always focus on the 24 hour day/night cycle when I talk to people about Mars, because that is something that is VERY HARD to adjust on any planet. 😅 I saw Elon's greenhouse talk early on, and it was soo refreshing after hearing years of the same Mars talks.. and I scolded the usual suspects sitting around me who were laughing (you know who you are). Clearly, you and Elon helped each other in the early days, and I just think that is so great.

I disagree with a lot of Robert's priorities in his climate book, but I agree that we can have a bright future driven by human innovation.

I only agree to live on Mars if it's underground. All aboveground designs would be a crazy business in the unknown place that can throw anything at you and you are without any shield of atmosphere or mag.field.

Yeah I agree.. as much as I like some of the reforms Elon is pushing for at Twitter, it’s a waste of his time. Hopefully he’ll be able to extricate himself from Twitter soon so he can focus on Tesla, SpaceX, and Starship!

Not war, but overpopulation, which is also part of the problem of climate change and climate chaos, which also generates contentious issues that can and often does, lead to conflicts and war. I DO support his goals, however
Had a nice enthused conversation with Robert at Jim Cameron's house some years ago...at which time I expressed the same concerns I had/have re unchecked population expansion. BUT, curbing population growth is the BIGGEST elephant in the room that everybody is afraid to bring up. It simply is not allowed. (Elon Musk made this observation a number of years ago, but has since done an about-face. Maybe due to the negative feedback?)
