WOW > after 5.5 years of being alone since she left our 17 year marriage, this is the most succinct accurate summation of exactly what happened on her part. i had willingness, apparently she did not. we were sooo different, she was smart enough for it to feel impossible for us to be close enough soon enough to make any effort worth while. the irony is that i deeply loved her but i struggled deep down with some narcissism and thought i was ok and that we were ok. i take FULL responsibility for having not tuned into her deepest emotional needs. it was difficult to be close with her, but i feel i learned since she left, how i could have silently tuned in to her quietness, and connect with her deeply enough to where she would have stayed. breaks my heart that i allowed her love within to die. then she had nothing left, and she felt she had to leave, otherwise she would be destroyed in a seemingly loveless marriage. God forgive me, and quicken her spirit to understand that Christ in us is the answer to a couple truly thriving.
