Mad Max - How to clear a minefield

Mad Max clearing a minefield. Your dog will bark in the direction on the nearest mine. When dog yelps differently, you are near. The mine should appear. Approach on foot to defuse the mine.

Alternate method: Just drive over the mines & repair the car, no dog required.

I hated this until i realised that when in a hideout press X to select cars and select chums buggy and the dog is automatically in the rear instead of the black finger, Chum, so no weapons im afraid. When u get near a mine field the dog will bark. Whichever direction the dog is facing when he barks, is the direction of the mine. At first i was driving around in circles looking for the mine but its speedy if u know what ur doing!

This is the most tedious part of the open world and threat clearing. Im playing the game recently and I cant bring myself to clear them. But if your just starting the game and you need ammo, clearing minefields is actually a really good way to get some ammo as for some reason sometimes when disarming a mine it gives you shotgun shells.

this is the most tedious, boring crap in the whole game. I love the game but totally can't stand this.

Many people seem to find this activity really hard, it isn't really. The marker on the map is NOT the exact location of the mine, it just means the mine is in the area. You drive around slowly, watching the reaction of the dog. The dog will become more excited the closer to get to the mine location. It's not hard, just requires a little patience.

Thanks for this. Once I knew what I was doing it took me under a minute to clear the mines. But I did get cocky with the last one, ran too close, and got blown up. Even so, It wasn't so bad.

Mad max game is truly very fun, specially its side missions such as various camps and top dog :) i recently began playing it myself, yet to play so much activities

This drives my dog crazy, I always have to mute the sound. I wash there was an alternate way to clear minefields.

omg ty i found the mine part annoying i felt stupid not known how to work it till the dog telling u where to go ty

This was the one objective that was kinda tedious and annoying, mainly because you had to spot a mine, get out, defuse it. Rinse and repeat 3 times. If you could spot them all and then defuse them all at once while you’re out of the car it wouldn’t have been so bad. I used to try and just find them by driving on them lol a lot quicker than the proper way, but they’re way to hard to find without the dog

there are 2 WAYS to clear a minefield
1. the normal way (chum s buggy)
2. the jumpscare way ( just drive the magnum opus in the minefield and hope for the best )
some suggestions
on the second way NEVER move the car if its not 100% repaired (thats after you hit a landmine)

Idk how i feel about it tbh its not hard but it is boring and it was not needed as a feauture i guess they put it in so u could use the dog but for anyone needing help the dog starts howling in the direction of the mines he wont give a exact location but he will give you a general location of where the mines are and when he starts freaking out barking either to the left or the right u can see it dont drive to fast or to slow just a good pace i reccomend just tapping the trigger over and over because chums buggy will explode but if it does survive chum isn't their so u might need to quick repair it which costs quite a bit of scrap

It's not so bad if you follow the dog lead until it goes into a frenzy. then you can just get out, and disarm the mine.
