And so this is my point. In order to understand a horse’s needs, training, care relationship with its guardian, it does not need to be touched. We are supposed to honor the horse and guard. Are we not? I see the horse as an extension of the rider.they are in unison or working towards it. If we can not touch the guard, THEN BY GEORGE, RESPECT THE HORSE AS WELL. HE DESERVES THAT MUCH FOR HIS WORK AS WELL!!! Horses should absolutely not be touched except by its guardian and trainer.
Besides, when a guard allows the plebeians to descend upon his horse, the guards appear to be more like a petting zoo than an honorable and respected team of horse and rider. You are a TEAM! Remember that, Guards.
