Cheap Art Supply Challenge - Crayola Oil Pastels. So this is my first Cheap Art Supply Challenge. I could have done better, but I haven't had a whole lot of time lately and I've been trying to post a new video every Monday or Tuesday.

it's $2 to $3 honestly I love these pastels if you see my work it's very detailed even though these are cheap they work really well

You can also blend oil pastels with a paper towel too

With a little more work, this could look very nice. Cheap materials are great when you're learning the techniques.

I just learned that there are Crayola pastels and was wondering how to use them. so you draw and smear with fingers ? is this how your supposed to draw with them ?

I've used them a few times over my not so great watercolors. If you would like to see them you can find me on Facebook. I only have a few atm because I'm mostly watercolor and ink. I'm getting into pastels and am looking for a good starter set of pastels in hard and soft. Any info is welcome and ty in advance. I find these oil pastels to be alot like crayons with a little blending available if I want it. You can also scrub crayons with a old round brush and some odorless paint thinner To get a similar effect. I enjoy them more now that I'm using them over my watercolors. I'm doing one today. Sorry for the long comment/question/Life story :0)
