I’m a new trader this is my 3rd week on your channel. I’m finding your videos helpful and am grateful for your videos. Thank you for making these videos and keep up the good work. New traders like me really appreciate them. I do have some questions on strike price tho?

When I’m bullish I was told to buy “ deep in the money calls “ which I’m buying the strike price way below the stock price. However today I took a $CHPT call for $14 strike expir 4/22 - breakeven price 20.75 - the stock closed at 2.73 - I paid $6.75 or $675 for my contract ( just 1 using robhinhood ) - The delta was high 90s as I was told this would be the best chance of hitting.

My question ; why am I up $18 on my contract when my im actually 2 cents below my breakeven- strike + option cost .
